A life of many hats
From a young age, I found myself immersed in various extracurricular activities, each one allowing me to explore new facets of creativity. I ventured into the world of gardening, baking, interior design, and even painting. Each role taught me something unique and molded my perspective. One of the most enjoyable challenges was where I donned the hat of an “urban planner” while designing a model city for a high school robotics project. Those experiences laid the foundation for my future as I moved into tertiary education
Pursuing a Nursing Degree
Fast forward to today, I am pursuing an undergraduate nursing degree in Canada. It’s a path filled with responsibilities and rigor, but I cherish every moment spent learning. While preparing for the demands of nursing school, I discovered an incredible outlet: writing. It became my escape, my detox, and a necessary reprieve from the fast-paced world around me.
The Power of Poetry
As a Christian poet, the art of weaving words together allows me to draw deeply from scripture and reflect on life’s profound truths. Poetry serves as a paradox—tender yet visceral, vulnerable yet bold. In just a few lines, it can encapsulate years of emotions and trials, offering the unspeakable a voice of grace. Ironically, I once avoided poetry, but now it stands as my refuge and stage—a place for hope in brokenness and strength in Christ during my weakest moments. My work resonates with those who seek truth, wrestle with doubt, and believe that beauty can bloom in even the most unlikely conditions.
